Day by day
Day 1Bagdogra → Phuentsholing
- Meet at Bagdogra Airport by 3 pm. 3.5-hour drive past Siliguri and the Jaldapara tea gardens to Phuentsholing. Group dinner.
Day 2Phuentsholing → Thimphu
- Bhutan entry permit at immigration (trip captain handles it). Scenic drive to Thimphu with stops. Evening walk and group dinner.
Day 3Thimphu → Dochula → Punakha
- Buddha Dordenma. Bhutanese cheese-dish lunch. Personalised postage stamp at Thimphu post office. Dochula Pass and the 108 chortens.
Day 4Punakha → Paro
- Chimi Lhakhang. Optional white-water rafting (own cost). Prayer-flag suspension bridge.
Day 5Tiger's Nest hike + archery
- Hike to Taktsang (about 2.5 hrs up, ~900 m gain). Evening archery with locals.
Day 6Paro Tshechu → Phuentsholing
- Pre-dawn Thongdrel unveiling and masked cham dances at Paro Dzong on the festival's final day. Lunch in Paro, drive to Phuentsholing, border-market shopping, farewell dinner.
Day 7Phuentsholing → Bagdogra
- Morning drive to Bagdogra (about 3.5 hrs). Book flights after 3 pm.

Good to know
- Indian travellers need no visa – carry an original passport (6+ months valid) or Voter ID. The entry permit is issued at Phuentsholing.
- Indian SIM cards are unreliable in Bhutan; a local SIM costs around ₹200 at Phuentsholing.
- Carry ₹8,000–10,000 in cash (₹100 and ₹500 notes are accepted 1:1); cards and ATMs are unreliable.
- Tiger's Nest is a moderate hike with rest points and a café halfway; a pony to the halfway point can be hired on the day.
- Festival dress: long trousers or skirt, covered shoulders, no hats inside the dzong. Bring a warm layer for the dawn ceremony.

Cancellation policy
- Cancel in writing, by email or WhatsApp to our team.
- Your booking amount (advance) is non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
- 30 days or less before departure: 100% of the trip cost is charged, or the actual vendor charges if higher.
- No cash refunds. Where money can be recovered you get a credit note, valid 12 months on a new Desh Videsh trip, after deducting flights, visas and vendor charges.
- Visa fees, hotel deposits, event tickets and add-ons are non-refundable. Charges apply whatever the reason, including visa rejection or a no-show.
- Want to change dates instead? One free reschedule up to 45 days before departure; 30–44 days: actual vendor costs; 29 days or less: treated as a cancellation.
- Group trips need at least 6 travellers. If a batch doesn’t fill, we offer another date, another trip or a credit note.
