Day by day
Day 1Delhi → Ulaanbaatar
- Direct flight, land ~4 pm. Hotel transfer. Welcome dinner with buuz and airag.
Day 2Fly to Mörön → Khatgal + Ice Festival opening
- Morning flight to Mörön, drive to Khatgal on Lake Khuvsgul. Heated ger camp. Festival opening on the lake.
Day 3Ice Festival
- Ice wrestling, horse-sleigh races, ice sculpting, ice bar; sculptures lit after dark.
Day 4Dog sledding + shaman fire ceremony
- Dog sledding on the lake, skating, sculpture field, campfire, shaman ceremony, stargazing.
Day 5Tsaatan reindeer herders & Darkhad nomads
- Visit nomad families, reindeer ride, salted milk tea in a ger.
Day 6Back to Ulaanbaatar
- Last morning on the ice, ger-cart ride. Drive to Mörön, afternoon flight to Ulaanbaatar. Farewell dinner.
Day 7Gorkhi-Terelj National Park
- Terelj, Aryapala Meditation Temple, Chinggis Khaan Equestrian Statue, Narantuul market if time. Dinner, late-night airport transfer (no hotel).
Day 8Ulaanbaatar → Delhi
- Early-morning direct flight, land Delhi ~7 am.

Good to know
- Expect -15°C to -25°C in the day and colder at night. Ger camps are heated with wood stoves.
- The lake ice is over a metre thick by late winter, and all lake activities are run by local operators.
- Fitness: moderate, mainly because of the cold. No altitude issues, and no experience needed for dog sledding or the sleigh.
- Phone signal is limited at the lake – expect to be offline for a few days.
- Indian passport holders need a Mongolian visa; passports must be valid for 6+ months.
- Vegetarians: carry a few ready-to-eat meals as options can be limited.
- Pack: 2 sets of thermals, a down jacket rated to -25°C, insulated waterproof snow boots, wool socks, insulated gloves with liners, a balaclava, SPF 50 sunscreen, a power bank and a headlamp. Plugs are type C and E.

Cancellation policy
- Cancel in writing, by email or WhatsApp to our team.
- Your booking amount (advance) is non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
- 30 days or less before departure: 100% of the trip cost is charged, or the actual vendor charges if higher.
- No cash refunds. Where money can be recovered you get a credit note, valid 12 months on a new Desh Videsh trip, after deducting flights, visas and vendor charges.
- Visa fees, hotel deposits, event tickets and add-ons are non-refundable. Charges apply whatever the reason, including visa rejection or a no-show.
- Want to change dates instead? One free reschedule up to 45 days before departure; 30–44 days: actual vendor costs; 29 days or less: treated as a cancellation.
- Group trips need at least 6 travellers. If a batch doesn’t fill, we offer another date, another trip or a credit note.
