Day by day
Day 1Arrive in Leh: Rest & Acclimatise
- Group airport pickup at a fixed time – 9:00 AM or 12:00 PM
- Check in (standard check-in 1:00 PM) and rest – no sightseeing today, so your body can adjust to the altitude
- Evening trip briefing with your trip captain
Day 2Leh → Kargil via Aryan Valley: Apricot Blossom Trail
- Drive along the Indus River into the Aryan Valley, home of the Brokpa people
- Walk through Dha and Hanu villages, with apricot orchards in bloom (seasonal) and time to meet the locals
- Continue on the Batalik route to Kargil
Day 3Kargil → Leh via Lamayuru
- Cross Namika La and Fotu La passes
- Lamayuru's 'Moonland' landscape and the ancient monastery
- The Indus–Zanskar confluence and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib
- Sunset at Shanti Stupa, looking over Leh
Day 4Leh → Nubra Valley via Khardung La
- Drive over Khardung La (18,380 ft), one of the highest motorable passes
- Diskit Monastery and the giant Maitreya Buddha
- Hunder sand dunes – optional double-humped camel ride (own cost)
Day 5Turtuk: The Apricot Blossom Village
- Day trip to Turtuk, near the Indo-Pak border – Balti culture, stone houses and apricot orchards in bloom
- Guided walk through the village and down to the river
- Back to Nubra for a bonfire night with the group
Day 6Nubra → Pangong Lake via the Shyok Route
- Drive the Shyok River route, with photo stops along the way
- Reach Pangong Lake and check in to lakeside cottages
- Watch the lake change colour through the afternoon
Day 7Pangong Sunrise → Leh
- Sunrise over Pangong Lake
- Drive back to Leh over Chang La pass
- Thiksey Monastery, and Shey Palace if time permits
Day 8Departure from Leh
- Breakfast and check out
- Group transfer to Leh airport for your flight home

Good to know
- Apricot blossom timing depends on the weather each year – usually late March to mid-April, starting lower down in Turtuk and the Aryan Valley
- Leh is at about 3,500 m – Day 1 is a rest day on purpose. Drink plenty of water and avoid alcohol for the first two days
- Early spring is cold: around 5–15°C in the day and below freezing at night, colder at Pangong
- Khardung La and Chang La can close after snowfall – we may change the order of days for safety

Cancellation policy
- Cancel in writing, by email or WhatsApp to our team.
- Your booking amount (advance) is non-refundable and non-transferable once paid.
- 30 days or less before departure: 100% of the trip cost is charged, or the actual vendor charges if higher.
- No cash refunds. Where money can be recovered you get a credit note, valid 12 months on a new Desh Videsh trip, after deducting flights, visas and vendor charges.
- Visa fees, hotel deposits, event tickets and add-ons are non-refundable. Charges apply whatever the reason, including visa rejection or a no-show.
- Want to change dates instead? One free reschedule up to 30 days before departure; 15–29 days: actual vendor costs; 14 days or less: treated as a cancellation.
- Group trips need at least 6 travellers. If a batch doesn’t fill, we offer another date, another trip or a credit note.
